Nizamabad, a small village in Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh is famous for its handcrafted Red & Black Pottery, especially cutwork and silver inlay-like work on black pottery. It has also received GI tag for Black Pottery. A unique process of applying mustard oil and firing greenware with rice husks in enclosed kilns gives these products a shiny black surface finish.

Wonderful sturdy structure. The water smells and tastes delicious from this bottle. Cannot imagine using plastic bottles after switching to terracotta. The side handle is convenient to grip the bottle while drinking. Would love a coaster made of clay for this bottle included in the purchase. Even without it, it's gorgeous. Feels very special. Thank you. My water intake is more when I drink from clay bottles as I enjoy it compared to steel or plastic or silicon counterparts as it's natural.
